About the Artist

Mandie Gogh
Art by Amanda Nguyen
Mandie Gogh is an abstract surrealist and mom of three, living in Virginia. She predominantly uses acrylic paints throughout her work, but also experiments with watercolors, oil pastels, and markers. Gogh’s unique process of intuitive painting explores emotions—often dark— using a vivid color palette, creating a dichotomy between subject and medium. Gogh often explores heavy subjects such as, but not limited to: grief, depression, anxiety, empowerment and transformation. Gogh’s goal is to help the viewer feel seen and empowered to create their own mindfulness practice via her YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@makewithmandie?si=zocBWQvLbPCQQSTz
Mandie Gogh has exhibited throughout Pennsylvania and Virginia, both individually and collaboratively within group shows organized by the local artist collectives: 757 Create and The Womxn’s Connective.
Mandie Gogh is from Chesapeake, Virginia. She is a mother of three wild kids and the wife of a foodie husband. Gogh loves both quiet moments alone and the boisterous aspect of family life.
